Welcome back! I hope that you have had a restful and enjoyable vacation, and are ready to tackle the rigers of the new school year.
The Long Island Science Education Leadership Association, Inc. (LISELA) is an association composed of science supervisors, chairpersons, and other educators in leadership positions in science instruction on Long Island. You do not have to be a supervisor to join. It is imperative that that we, as leaders, take an active role in trying to influence the direction that science instruction will take in New York.
LISELA has been extremely active in relaying your science curriculum thoughts and concerns to our State Education Department. We have become a major resource of current information, and are able to share this with each of you through our meetings, workshops, and newsletters during the course of each year.
Please renew your membership now, or join us for the first time in our fight for the best science instruction for our students on Long Island. I am looking forward to working with you soon.
